To cool down the steel structure factory building, we should consider the following problems:

1. How about the thermal insulation performance of steel structure workshop?

2. Does the steel plant have cooling system?

3. How about ventilation performance of steel structure workshop?


I. Ventilation and Cooling of Steel Workshop

Because some machines in steel plant produce heat and water vapor, if these heat and water vapor are not discharged in time, they will accumulate in the plant, so that the temperature of steel plant will rise and affect the environment of steel plant. The way to solve these problems is to ensure the reasonable ventilation of the workshop and install appropriate ventilation system. Reasonable installation of exhaust system will obviously improve the air environment of steel structure workshop and greatly reduce the temperature of steel structure workshop.


Installation of roof forced exhaust fans

Power fan is a kind of ventilation equipment driven by electric power. Its ventilation effect is good, and it can adapt to ventilation in any environment.

Unpowered ventilator is a kind of ventilation equipment which relies on the principle of air convection to carry out ventilation. When the indoor and outdoor air environment is different, it will generate air flow, thereby eliminating indoor exhaust gas and hot gas. Its advantage is that it does not need additional electricity and is more environmentally friendly. But it depends strongly on the environment and cannot be forced to exhaust air. The main products are turbine ventilator, strip ventilator (lighting belt ventilation), roof ventilator and so on.

2. Forced cooling of steel structure workshop

Forced cooling refers to the installation of cold air blowers on the roof of factory buildings. The cold air blowers are machines that use the principle of water cooling to cool the air and convey the cold air to the room by strong exhaust fans. It can keep the indoor temperature of steel structure workshop at 26 - 30 C. Its power consumption is equivalent to 1/8 of air conditioning. The cost is 1/2 of the air conditioning, and it is a good method for mandatory cooling of factory buildings.



3. Heat preservation and cooling of steel structure workshop

The thermal insulation of steel structure workshop can insulate most of the solar radiation and heat transfer, and reduce the greenhouse effect in the room. Thereby, the temperature of the factory building is greatly reduced and the environment of the steel structure factory building is improved. There are two choices in common use at present:


Insulation cotton is added to the roof of steel structure workshop. Glass cotton is commonly used on the roof. The thickness of insulation cotton is 50 mm, 75 mm, 100 mm, and the density is 64 kg/m3.


Installation can generally reduce the indoor temperature by 5-8 C, the construction process is more complex. If the old factory building is to be transformed into thermal insulation, it is necessary to remove the original roof, pull up the wire mesh, lay glass wool on the wire mesh, cover the original roof panel, and then do waterproof treatment.


Spray high efficient heat insulation and reflective coatings on roof panels. This product has excellent thermal insulation and insulation performance. It can be coated on metal, concrete, lime wall, wood structure surface, asbestos tile, plastic, FRP, rubber and other surfaces. The coating is 0.25mm thick, and its effect is equivalent to that of 250px-375px glass wool. It can reflect 99.5% infrared ray, 92.5% visible light, the highest sound insulation effect is 68%, and the average sound insulation effect is more than 50%. Fire-proof class A, completely non-flammable. Non-toxic, safe, long-lasting, service life of more than 15 years (detailed description can refer to engineering materials file). If this method is used, the construction is convenient, the original roof is not damaged, and the aging of the roof can be prevented. After construction and before construction, the maximum temperature difference on the surface of the plate can reach 20 C, the indoor temperature difference can reach 8-10 C, and the energy consumption of the steel structure workshop can be reduced by 30-70%.
