Cold bending Z steel has many advantages, such as adjustable size and high compressive strength. Furniture, storage, guideway, keel steel, vegetable greenhouses, pipe supports, municipal construction and so on.
Characteristics of C-shaped steel and Z-shaped steel.
A. Z-type purlins have a greater inertia distance in the weak axis direction than similar C-type purlins, so their integrity is better than C-type purlins.
B. Because it is necessary to firmly overlap at the connection, the overlapped purlins will become continuous purlins, while C-type purlins can only be calculated as simply supported purlins.
"C. Z-type purlins are smaller than C-type purlins, which can save materials and reduce costs.". However, installation and transportation are more complex than C-shaped purlins.
D. C-shaped steel is generally suitable for roofs with gentle slopes; The Z-shaped steel is suitable for roofs with a slope greater than 1/4.

L = Length of the steel
Punching dimensions (holes – spacing between them etc)
