Z purlin is suitable for large sloping roofs compared to C purlin. usually, our engineer design the steel building with C purlin because of the cheaper price with C purlin, for one of our client from Mauritius, he like Z purlin, so we revise it to use Z purlin. if there is no speical requirement, we usually design with common setting, and if you have your own idea, our engineer will do overall consideration and try to satisfied your request.
different specification affect by the roof load, this is why we need to know your local max wind load and roof live load, some of our clients want to use small specification of the purlin for saving whole cost, but we are responsible for every project with safety considerations. there is a national regulation.
