Abu Dhabi International Airport is the second largest airport in the United Arab Emirates, located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. The project was awarded by China Construction Company. The main construction project is the construction of airport terminal. By early 2017, the airport terminal had cost $2.94 billion. Due to the difficulties in the design and installation of the roof of the terminal building, the original terminal building scheduled to open in 2017 will be delayed until 2019. At present, the project is under intensive construction with a construction period of 28 months. When completed, it will become the largest airport terminal in the Middle East.
