The quality control of steel structure fastener connection mainly emphasizes the quality control of high strength bolt connection. The construction quality control of high strength bolt connection project is completed from the following aspects:


First of all, steel structure engineering must pay attention to the processing quality of the friction surface of high-strength bolts and the protection before installation to prevent pollution and corrosion. And before installation, anti-slip coefficient test of friction surface of high-strength bolts, check factory certificate and batch number of high-strength bolts, and do axial force test for high-strength bolts of different batch numbers regularly.


High-strength bolts should be installed freely, and should not be knocked or reamed. Therefore, certain die should be prepared to control the deformation of the steel structure, and feasible fixing measures should be taken to ensure the dimensional stability of the component during transportation.


In the process of steel structure installation, the contact surface of plate stack should be smooth, the contact surface must be more than 75%, and the edge gap should not be more than 0.8mm. The installation process of high-strength bolts, including operation sequence, installation method, fastening sequence, initial screw and final screw, shall be strictly controlled and inspected, and the torsion wrench of screw bolts shall be calibrated, etc. The final screwing should be checked one by one, the unscrewing and over-screwing should be supplemented or replaced.
