As a fire protection material different from building materials at room temperature, fire retardant coating should not only have excellent and efficient fire-retardant and heat insulation performance, but also have the working performance of covering the steel surface in good condition when l / 20 is deformed. Its physical and chemical indexes are the most important data reflecting the physical and mechanical properties of fire retardant coating besides its fire resistance. Physical and chemical indexes mainly include: adhesion, deformation and dry density, binding capacity and deformation capacity of reaction materials; fire resistance index refers to fire resistance rating, fire resistance and heat insulation capacity of reaction materials. The physical and chemical properties and fire resistance of gypsum based fire retardant coating are better than those of cement-based products.
