Frame structure is a structure that is composed of many beams and columns to bear all the loads of the house. For high-rise civil buildings and multi-storey industrial plants, the bearing capacity of brick walls can no longer meet the requirements of heavy loads, and frames are often used as bearing structures. The house load includes the weight of people, furniture, articles, machinery and equipment, and the self weight of floor, wall and itself. The wall built in the frame only serves as enclosure and separation, and does not bear other loads except its own weight. In order to reduce the load of the frame, light-weight walls should be used as far as possible, such as foam concrete blocks (wallboards) or hollow bricks. Generally, the frame is mostly cast in situ. In order to accelerate the project progress and save formwork and top support, the construction method of partial prefabrication (such as column) and partial cast-in-situ (beam) or precast joint of column and beam can also be adopted.
The main advantages of frame building are: flexible space separation, light self weight and material saving; It has the advantage that it can more flexibly cooperate with the layout of the building, which is conducive to arranging the building structure requiring a large space; The beam and column components of the frame structure are easy to be standardized and finalized, and it is easy to adopt the assembled integral structure to shorten the construction period; When the cast-in-place concrete frame is used, the integrity and rigidity of the structure are better, and the seismic effect can also be achieved if the design is well handled, and the beams or columns can be poured into various required cross-sectional shapes.
