Large span steel structure workshops require the use of cranes for handling and installing heavy steel structure components. Cranes can be divided into bridge cranes and gantry crane.
Bridge crane is a large crane suspended in the center of a factory, which can span the entire workshop, move horizontally and vertically, and operate very flexibly. Bridge cranes are mainly used for handling and installing lighter components.
Gantry crane is a relatively fixed crane, which needs to build a support structure in the workshop. The gantry crane can support larger loads, and can be used to transport and install heavier components. The operation of gantry crane is more limited than that of bridge crane, but its safety and stability are higher.
Large span steel structure workshops require construction personnel to choose based on specific circumstances. Generally speaking, when large and heavy components need to be transported and installed, gantry crane is a better choice; When it is necessary to reach various corners of the workshop, bridge cranes appear more suitable.
