In the process of cross steel column construction, the general modern steel structure platform structure has the advantages of various forms, complete functions and wide application. The biggest feature of its structure is full assembly structure, flexible design, can be designed and manufactured according to the site requirements, functional requirements and logistics requirements of steel structure platform.


First, the arrangement of steel structure cross column.

1. When determining the plane size, height, beam lattice and column network configuration of cross steel column, in addition to meeting the requirements of use, beam and column configuration should also consider the position of platform equipment load and other large concentrated load and the suspension of large diameter industrial pipeline, etc

2. Cross steel column should strive to achieve economic and reasonable, direct and clear force transmission. The arrangement of beams corresponds to their span. In the case of large beam span, the spacing should also be increased. Make full use of the allowable span of slab and arrange the beam reasonably to achieve good economic benefit.

3. Meet the requirements of process operation, ensure clearance of passage and operation. Generally, the net height of passage should not be less than 1.8m. Protective railings should be set around the platform, and the height of the railings is generally 1M. When the platform height is greater than 2M, a skirting board with a height of 100-150mm should be set under the protective railing. The platform shall be provided with a ladder for passage up and down, and the width of the ladder shall not be less than 600 mm.


Second, the composition and classification of cross steel column.

1. Composition: The platform structure is usually supported by slabs, main beams, columns and between columns, and is composed of ladders and handrails.

2. Classification: according to the requirements of use, it can be divided into indoor and indoor platforms, platforms bearing static and dynamic loads, production auxiliary platforms, medium and heavy operating platforms, etc. According to the different treatment methods of support, platform structure can also be divided into:

1) Both are independent platforms. For the platform with large power load or heavy equipment, it should be designed separately from the plant column and directly supported on an independent column.

2) Platforms placed directly on the tripod and ox leg of the field column usually function as safety access and simple medium operation platforms.

3) One side is supported on the wall of the site column or building, and the other side is provided with a platform of independent columns.

4) Platforms supported on large equipment.


Steel cross columns are independent systems in steel structures and can be used indoors or outdoors. According to the prescribed standards and requirements, the construction process is reasonably arranged, and the construction of steel structure platform can meet the application requirements.
