1. I-shaped steel mainly whether ordinary or light, due to the section size is relatively high, narrow, so the moment of inertia of the two main shafts of the section is larger. Therefore, it can only be used directly in the web plane bending members or the composition of lattice stress members. It is not suitable for axial compression members or bending members perpendicular to the web plane, which makes its application scope has a great limitation.

2.H section steel belongs to high efficiency economic cutting profile (other cold-formed thin-wall steel, profited steel plate, etc.), due to the reasonable section shape, they can make the steel to play a higher efficiency, improve the cutting ability. Different from the ordinary I-shaped, h-shaped steel wing embroidery is widened, and the inner and outer surfaces are usually parallel, so that it is easy to connect with other components with high strength bolts. Its size constitutes a reasonable series, complete models, easy to design selection. The rolling of H-beam is different from that of ordinary I-beam with only one set of horizontal rolls. Because its wing sash is wider and has no slope (or very small slope), a set of vertical rolls should be added for rolling at the same time. Therefore, its rolling process and equipment are more complex than ordinary rolling mill.
