1. Strength

The strength index of steel structure steel is determined by elasticity, yield and tension. The design is based on the yield strength of steel. High yield strength can reduce the weight of the structure, save steel and reduce costs. Tensile strength is the stress that steel can bear before it is destroyed. 2. Plasticity

3. Cold bending performance

The cold bending performance of steel is a measure of the crack resistance of steel when it bends at room temperature and produces plastic deformation. The cold bending performance of steel is a kind of cold bending test, which is used to test the bending deformation performance of steel with specified bending degree.


4. Impact toughness

The impact toughness of steel structure steel refers to the ability of steel to absorb mechanical kinetic energy when bearing impact load in the process of impact. Measuring the impact resistance of steel to impact load is a mechanical property, which may lead to brittle fracture due to low temperature and stress concentration. The impact toughness index of steel is generally obtained through the impact test of standard samples.


5. Welding performance

Weldability of steel structure steel refers to the welding joint with good performance under the welding process conditions. Weldability can be divided into two types: weldability of welding process and weldability of service performance. Weldability during welding means that the weld and the metal near the weld are not sensitive to thermal cracks or cooling during welding, so there will be no cooling shrinkage cracks. Good weldability means that under certain welding process conditions, the welding metal and the nearby base metal will not crack. The weldability of performance is the impact toughness of weld and the ductility of heat affected zone. The mechanical properties of steel in the welding and heat affected zone shall not be lower than that of the base metal. China adopts the welding performance test method of welding process and the welding performance test method of service performance.
