After the steel column is transported in place, it shall be placed and installed in accordance with the following five requirements:


1. Positioning axis: mark the cross line of steel column in place on the foundation concrete plane where the steel column is placed with ink line, and mark the alignment on the steel column body accordingly.


2. Steel column hoisting: use temporary lifting padeye for steel column hoisting, and cut and grind the steel column after hoisting in place. Considering the length of the steel column, it is lifted by cable-stayed method, and the column base is padded with wood.


3. Adjustment of column positioning axis: check the positioning of steel column with special angle ruler and make appropriate adjustment. In the adjustment project, three people are required to operate at the same time, one to move the steel column, one to assist in stability, and the other to test. The standard of steel column positioning is: the positioning line marked on the foundation plane is consistent with the positioning line of steel column body, and its error must be controlled within 2mm.


4. Adjustment of column top elevation: after adjustment of steel column in place axis, steel column elevation shall be adjusted. The operation method is: first mark the elevation reference point on the column body, then measure the difference with a level gauge, and adjust the column top elevation by adding gasket (the gasket shall not exceed 2 pieces at most).


5. Verticality correction of steel column:

(1) Preliminary correction: the vertical angle of the steel column is preliminarily adjusted and corrected, and this work can be completed by using the level ruler.

(2) Accurate correction: at the same time, use two theodolites to observe from two sides of the steel column, use the swing of the cable wind rope for accurate adjustment and correction, and pay attention to pad iron at the foot of the column. After accurate correction, tighten the foot screw of the steel column, and weld its foot firmly with the sizing block.
