The design of joint is one of the most important contents in steel structure design. Before the structural analysis, the form of the node should be fully considered and determined. It is often the case that the final design of nodes does not exactly coincide with the form used in the structural analysis model, and this must be avoided. According to the different force transmission characteristics, the joints are divided into rigid connection, hinged connection and sliding connection, and the different connections have great influence on the structure. For example, although some rigid joints bear the moment no problem, but will produce a large rotation, does not conform to the assumption in the structural analysis. The actual engineering deformation will be larger than the calculated data. There are two common methods for connecting joints: equal strength design and actual force design.
