1. When the fire resistance limit of indoor exposed steel structure, light roof steel structure and steel structure with decoration requirements is specified to be 1.5h or less, thin coating type steel structure fire retardant coating should be selected.
2. When the fire resistance limit of indoor concealed steel structure, high-rise all steel structure and multi-storey workshop steel structure is specified to be more than 1.5h, thick coating steel structure fire retardant coating and non expansion fire retardant coating shall be selected.
3. For outdoor steel structure, fire retardant coating suitable for outdoor use shall be selected.
4. If the designed fire resistance limit is more than 1.50h, the intumescent fire retardant coating should not be used;
5. When the intumescent fire retardant coating is used for outdoor and semi outdoor steel structures, the products that meet the requirements of the environment for their performance shall be selected;
6. The thickness of non expansive fireproof coating shall not be less than 10 mm;
7. Fire retardant coating and anticorrosive coating shall be compatible and matched.
