The steel structure of single storey factory building is generally a space rigid framework composed of purlin, skylight frame, roof truss, bracket, column, crane beam, brake beam (or truss), various supports and wall frame


According to their functions, these components can be grouped into the following systems:

(1) Horizontal plane frame is the basic load-bearing structure of the plant, which is composed of columns and beams (roof truss). Bear the horizontal and vertical loads acting on the powerhouse and transfer them to the foundation.


(2) Longitudinal plane frame is composed of column, bracket, crane beam and support between columns. Its function is to ensure the longitudinal non deformability and rigidity of the plant skeleton, bear the longitudinal horizontal load (longitudinal braking force of crane, longitudinal wind force, etc.) and transfer it to the foundation.


(3) Roof system is composed of purlin, skylight frame, roof truss, bracket and roof support.


(4) Crane beam and brake beam mainly bear the vertical load and horizontal load of the crane, and transfer them to the transverse frame and longitudinal frame.


(5) Supports - including roof supports, column supports and other additional supports. Its function is to connect a single plane frame into a space system, so as to ensure the necessary stiffness and stability of the structure, as well as bear the wind and crane braking force.


(6) Wall frame - bear the weight and wind of the wall.


In addition, there are some secondary components, such as working platform, ladder, doors and windows, etc.
